P M M I S S I O N F O U N D A T I O N, I N C.
Currently PMMF is to educating potential missionaries. At the presnt time PMMF is
supporting at least 30 students in Elementary School ($20 -
PMMF
students use Christmas break and weekends leading up to it to prepare and conduct
evangelistic meetings. They follow up on weekends and into the summer months. Some
of these students come from families in the mountains who would have no way at all
to pay for tuition. Others come from families who have disowned them because they
became Christians. Others come from big families (11 children) so would have no chance
to go to school if PMMF were not helping.
PMMF teams conduct evangelistic meetings,
give health lectures and conduct medical clinics.
PMMF helps upgrade Christian schools
that need a Home Economic room and library required by the government or they have
to close. Recently the government has said they have to close the schools if they
do not have an English dictionary and an Encyclopedia set. PMMF is trying to supply
these to the schools. This is important as many of the schools don’t even have one
Christian child attending. So the school is a real mission field.
PMMF helps church
members build churches to fit their needs. Some need larger churches well built cement
wall and zinc roofs. Some have been condemned because they are literally falling
down. Some are fine with bamboo walls and thatch roofs. Some are happy if they just
have a roof to give some protection during the rainy season. These churches can cost
anywhere from $600 to $16,000.
‘Jeepneys’ (bus-
support of friends, PMMF has purchased bikes and motorcycles for pastors.
One pastor
who was head of his district (over 100 miles long and many miles wide, it’s actually
1/2 of the island of Mindoro) used his ancient motorcycle to visit churches and pastors
the length of the island rain or shine. This meant that his family could never go
with him to visit other churches. He requested a van, the Lord blessed and PMMF was
able to help him purchase one. This van has been a tremendous blessing to him. Now
his wife and family can travel with him to visit other pastors and wives.
PMMF has
purchased sewing machines for ladies who had no other way of making a livelihood.
They are now making dresses for other ladies in the villages and teaching them to
sew also (these are treadle sewing machines as the villages often don’t have electricity).
PMMF has installed fresh water faucets in one village so there would be fresh clean
water for cooking and bathing and laundry (some villages only have 2 water faucets
for 300 villagers. Some have only 1 faucet for a village).
PMMF has begun a work.
With God’s blessings a hundred more missionaries can be sent into the interior.
Property
has been purchased for a training center. There have been discussions about a NEWSTART
health retreat, and a high school level boarding school where students can learn
and earn at the same time. Time will tell where the Lord leads PMMF. Doors of opportunity
open and close daily. It is exciting to watch where He leads.
We must work while we
can before time comes to an end. Thank you for your prayers and support.
PMMF welcomes
groups to spend a few weeks and conduct health clinics, Vacation Bible Schools, and
evangelistic meetings or build schools or install water systems. You might like to
get involved in one or more ways. Just let us know.
